AARP Mature Safe Driving Program

When: Monday, May 20, 2013 - 5:00 PM
Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at East Conference Rooms I & II

The nation's first and largest classroom driver refresher course specially designed for motorists age 50 and older. Upon successfully completing the course, graduates may present their course completion certificate to their insurance agents for a discount. A minimum of 10 students is required for the class to be held. Charge for the eight-hour course is $12 for members and $14 for non-members. Class size is limited and registration is required.

Excel I

Class description: Learn how to create, manipulate, and format a basic spreadsheet.
Prerequisite: Word I or strong familiarity with the Microsoft Word program. Call 389-8968 to register.

Email - Beyond The Basics

When: Wednesday, May 22, 2013 - 8:30 AM
Where: East Library - 5550 N. Union Blvd. at East Computer Lab

An active email account is required. Students must know login information - username and password. Learn how to forward and send emails to multiple recipients. Also, learn about the CC and BCC fields, attachements, folders, contacts, and email safety. Pre-requisities: Email Basics, Computer Basics (Word 1 and Internet Basics recommended.)

Class description: Learn more complex formatting, charts, formulas, and sorting of an Excel worksheet.

Become familiar with the parts of a computer, including the mouse, and practice simple navigation in a screen and window environment. Learn how to enter information using the keyboard. This is a 3 class series. Patron is signing up for ALL three classes when signing up for ANY of the sessions.
